Seems like some people put on happy music to put themselves in a better mood. When I try that, the music just seems inappropriate and "insincere" somehow. I prefer listening to music that fits my mood at the time. Even though the music happens to be melancholic or whatever, it elevates my spirits. Not an emo thread, I'm just wondering what you people do. |

Right now I'm more grindingly depressed than I've ever had the great fortune to experience before in a long history of being down and at the moment I'm listening to Scott Walker's "Climate of Hunter" and it's about at the right level but I might need "Drift" to face something bleaker than my current prosepct. |

screaming along with Bomb the Music Industry! always makes me feel better. also, recently me and my friends who all seem to be splitting up soon have been getting drunk, cuddling, and listening to radiohead recently. having your best friend softly sing motion picture soundtrack into your ear on the kitchen floor is a beautiful experience. |

A lousy mood for me happens once every month. Where I feel depressed & sad and find that the things that suck in my life suck 10 times more. So I want to cry & lie in bed listening to PINK FLOYD'S DARK SIDE OF THE MOON :( Don't get me wrong-I love being a girl :) |
