I love nature and the countryside, and I've always been a
fan of the plain.

I also love the following :

· Meadows

· Deserts

· Valleys

Please name some of your own favourite geographical
features.

I really love the sun setting over the sea and scuba diving,
the vast open space under water and sense of freedom makes
me happy.
shame its only a holiday thing.

I like sea-mist, or haar [a Scots word for the fog or sea
mist occurring along the east coast of Scotland; wiki] as it
is called up here. Not to be confused with the Haar
Wavelet
, of course!

Also, I adore Wheatfields.

Misty coasts and lighthouses on cliffs and dilapidated docks
and those tree-enclosed dirt roads in the fall.

And while they're not a geographical feature, foghorns are a
great supplement to almost anything. Although recently
around here they've replaced the old style with newer,
high-pitched foghorns and they lack the same charisma.

Imagine sitting in a beautiful meadow with your girlfriend.
A bird takes flight from a nearby tree, and butterflies
flutter by like perpetual snowflakes. You lean in closer
towards your girlfriend.. *BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA* a romantic
fog horn sounds, your lips meet, and pixies dance with the
wind around you...

lovely

I've always had a fetish for the "Quarry."

Valleys and man-made lakes for me. For me to truly enjoy
either, I need them to have very little signs of
civilisation nearby (a road and a lone farmhouse is okay,
but any more than that detracts from it a bit).

We have sand dunes right near our city, and in the summer I
like nothing better than to do a spot of 'dune jumping' or
'dune surfing' (with a plastic sledge: you stand on the
sledge at the top of the dune, holding the string which
attaches to the front of the sledge, and then down you
go!).

Also, I love Rock Pools and just rocks generally by the
beach... you know, the kind you can leap across like you
were a ninja... fun fun fun!

Yes, that is great fun. I was playing in rock pools with
some mates last weekend. To quote my girlfriend, "It's
terrifying, it's like 3 children, but in bodies with the
strength of men and no one can tell them not to do
something". I don't know if you recall, but about 3-4 years
ago my avatar was of me dune jumping.
