i do, and i dont. put me in the cockpit and i love it. back
in the tail section though where i dont know whats going on,
yuck.

pilots, though, what a crazy job.

high crosswind landing

youd need to have balls of steel.

I love taking off and landing, have done since I was a
child. I went on my first international plane ride at the
age of three. Loved it.

i love plane rides, i went on a 3 hour plane ride a few
times, when i was 7, i remember on time on the way back,
always by myself, not sure if they allow that now, but i had
a little hissy-fit and the older people let me grab the
window seat, that hot !

seeing sections on land, the clouds, buidlings and the
Statue of Liberty would be my high-points. I need to travel
w/Elusive overseas :)

its just ilek anything else it becomes secnod nature to you,
and you know that the winds are going to be crazy then calm
down once you get closer to the landing track

my flight in a stunt plane in january was one of my greatest
moments. being next to the pilot, stressing all my muscles
so i didnt black out, was just unreal. but by comparison,
landing in kuala lumpur a month later, i was shitting
myself.

yeah thats it. i had a long chat with a pilot at the
beginning of the year, before my trip to malaysia i was
looking at taking lessons.

he said he always had a consciousness of the risks involved,
and he had to put them out of mind to enjoy flying. but some
pilots dont worry for a second.

Great last minute manoeuvering!
I don't like flying anymore. Planes fascinate me, though
oddly i find they feel old.
I've been on concorde (10 bonus points) and have lived a few
scares on various occasions. The past few years i decided i
wouldn't fly anymore. It's a nightmare though as it has
changed my life quite a bit and not for the best. I think
i'm ready to get back on one (20 points!)

lomac is by far the best flight sim ever. I've been
following the series from Su27 Flanker, to Flanker 2, to
LOMAC. Its great fun, shame I'm still such a magnet for SAMs
still!

Do you know of a good USB joystick? My old one doesn't work
with my laptop (no gameport).
