Used the wrong adapter for it, long ago.... DC or AC anyway
it doesnt work anymore, don`t know what to do with it,

Why not take it to an authorized dealer to get it looked at?
It could end up costing $50 to repair or something.

I would offer to take it, but I would feel bad, because
thats what I would do.

Yes, it may end up costing more than the machine is worth
too. Get an estimate. If its something they can repair, they
will tell you, and the cost of the estimate should get
credited towards the price of the repair. If it ends up
being too much, then let them keep it, if they insist (you
were giving away anyway), or maybe they will just let you
have it to give to someone else. Otherwise, you might be
able to send it to this guy. He is in your neck of the
woods if I am not mistaken, and apparently he does good work
for a good price.

I've got a mate that has built his own stadium size speakers
and owns 3 electribes, he knows electronics backwards and I
reckon he'd have the expertise to fix it for me if you sent
it my way ;)
