Sending a gift by mail

Has anyone ever sent gifts through the mail? Like little
gifts in an envelope, for example cooking spices or herbs. A
friend of mine is going to study for a few months in
Amsterdam as part of an exchange course and he said he'd
send me a "gift". I was thinking more specifically something
along the lines of mushrooms, you know for food. How safe is
this process? Does the post office check through mail
sometimes because I don't want them confiscating my cooking
mushrooms, if you know what I mean, that would be
disastrous. Any advice?

I really expect you'll be safe... you have to write down
what you're sending, but you can be quite vague, ya know.

this is like asking:

can i cross the street without getting hit by a car?

yes you can, if you are lucky, but you can never be sure.

The mail fucking sucks. You can never rely on it entirely.

Don't send items through the mail if it is costly, or in
some way important.

Then again, you can pay extra for insurance and you should
be fine.

You can probably trust that a lot of the mail from Amsterdam
is going to get special attention, because nearly every
burn-out who makes a trip to Amsterdam is going to think
they might be able to send a friend a gift. It would
probably be safer for them to fly it to you.

If going from one country to another you have to deal with
customs I think who can inspect the contents.

Customs check everything over here, and I can't
really imagine American customs being any more lax, what
with the fear of.. well, basically everything.

If you're going within the same country wouldn't simply not
putting a return address completely protect the
autonomoiniiminity of the sendar?

The recipient can just say they don't know this crazy foo
sending me stranfge fungi in the mail. peanut butter jar is
not a bad idea, i was thinking maybe a shampoo bottle. i'm
really set on it though, i've haven't cooked with mushrooms
in ages, never mind some nice ones from amsterdam. they're
spoiled with choice over there.

when you send natural products you have to report the
contents to prevent, for example, trade of endangered
species's fur or meat. but of course you can always import a
panda if you tell the customs that it's a pekinese.

Went to the Dam last month, my mates sent back "herbs" in
the post. Used birthday cards with badges, put the baggies
under the badges, worked a treat.

Me, I just strolled through departures with 5 grams in my
bag. Also worked a treat!

You can get “smellyproof” bags with a special seal at
the top, very good. Depends how much your mate is going to
be sending really – best to triple-bag and then wrap the
fucker thoroughly in sellotape if it’s a fair bit, then
put it inside some sort of metal case – cigarette tins do
pretty well. Don’t bother with peanut butter or shampoo,
they’re fucking obvious – who sends shampoo in the post?
Mushrooms would probably be easier than ganj, less stinky,
but they’d deffo investigate if it gets intercepted - most
you’d get for greenery (under an oz or so anyway) is a
customs letter saying the contents has been confiscated.
Could probably get away with birthday card-style disguise if
he’s not sending too much… The post does get checked
from Dam on a regular though, I know people who make the
trip across the border to germany to beat the sniffers.
Helps making the package look "official" as well - sticker
instead of writing etc.

i got caught by customs.

i ordered cubensis shrooms from japan...i got a few batches
through , i was very happy indeed ...awesome. then i got fed
up of sending cash in the post and used my credit card ,
they sent me a letter telling me i was very naughty and
asked me not to enjoy my life. and then ...hahahaha i had
this letter in my ruk sak with some canbiss and it was
stolen. the police found my bag 100 miles away i had to
collect it from the station, had to hire a freaking car..the
letter was still in there, luckly the theives smoked my
green. i got some funny looks from mr. policeman. maybe he
was stoned..barstard!!?

anyway ....if someone sends stuff to your house ...its not
your fault ...but when the package arrives ..don't open it
and consume straight away...cause the police might raid you
on the same morning.

tripping your balls off ....with angry Alsatian dogs ripping
your arms off in your home ...aint the best situation and
environment for spiritual enlightenment.

freqy

p.s send me some .
