...Nearing the end of reading this quite fascinating book now. It mainly deals with Harvey Weinstein & Miramax, although it's actually about Independent Film in the 90s and into the 2000s. My God, Harvey & Bob Weinstein have really fucked a LOT of people over in their time, even though Miramax released some great films. |

yeah, they even wanted to edit princess mononoke to make it shorter and more family friendly. they're really only in it for the money, which is bizarre for a distribution studio known for releasing art films. |

There is a fun documentary called "This Film Is Not Yet Rated" which details how the big studios/mpaa have been crapping all over movies since the 50s. |
