It's *spam.
Anyway, (in my opinion): intro - bad middle - good ending - bad
I don't like the tune, or synths, the drums are a bit too distorted, but nice in their own way. Has potential, keep it up.

Aye, I just wanted to spice up the thread title a bit by switching up my vowels.
Appreciate the listen!

i like a quite a few things about it, the faux intro with beats going in and out and then all the synth and padlines in interesting in the first instance but then gets a bit of a bother on repeats...the synths need just a bit of dirtying up to keep up with the beats, a more muscular and defined bassline would have helped as well...yes I did hear the tune a few times...the beats good but it just gets louder and louder and more and more clipped...which I take some points off for...the beat breakdowns are pretty fun...

Yeah, I'd like to follow up my comment.
The track has potential, I think the main issue is you're focusing your attention on the wrong elements sometimes...
For me personally, I loved the drums how they developed - but - I wanted them quicker, more complex, I wanted to be surprised, but instead it just got louder and more distorted..
afx did mention in an interview that he preferred doing complex beats portraying heavyness as opposed to the up-front distortion noise... He put it 'Heavy metal is like a guy with a gun in a shopping mall, shooting some random people' ... 'I like to make my beats complex, as if a smart, well planned sniper was shooting people off from a roof'.
It's a bit of a weird example, and I don't think you should loose the distortion, but just bring other elements in to surprise the listener.
also, on a more broader term to the 'other elements' point I mention... think about variations, build up a kind of intensity with mean synths... like, cutting the sound, removing all the other elements and having just a synth play with a cut off filter on the top of it, then automating the cut-off to sweet up the higher frequencies, giving the listener a sense of heightened mood.. then you put in the heavier drums.

Yep, I agree with everything you're saying. I mean I do love me some distortion (especially on kick drums), particularly if the track is a real banger, but yeah, it's easy to over-do it... It's definatly a little cooked on this track... (I still enjoy it though ;p)
I've only been using this new program (Ableton Live 6) for about 6 weeks or so now... before that, for the last 5 years I was using FruityLoops 3 with only raw, mostly homemade samples (no midi, no vsts) and only rudamentary effects. I made about 300 tracks like that... So now that I'm venturing into the world of VSTs and crazy audio effects, it's a bit hard to restrain myself... but your guys' comments seriously help me put the sound in perspective.
Thanks again.
