They do smell lovely (the bricks, ahem). The people's hair was cool too, in an Alan Partridge side parting kind of way.
Do you remember the smell of Star Wars figures? Yummy.

Try Lego.com - but you might be better off phoning them, they're very helpful. I spent a fortune on a 'LEGO Technical Car' about two years ago (he he - now that I'm working, I can buy all the stuff I was never allowed as a kid!) . . . anyway, one of the pistons broke and I rang their 'spares' department and they sent me two spare - free of charge! Not many places would do that.
Most helpful!

leog.com is useless. i go there once in a while - it finishes in 2001 - doesn't go any further back which is useless as i am a collector of LEGO star wars, but i know i am missing some of the earlier sets! E-bay is useful but i need more information.
also, i wish there was some huge list of ALL the lego sets ever

i hate the large models of figures - YODA looks particularly shit! i will post my collection when i get home ;)
i am going to get the huge ships when i go to america (cheaper) the huge X-wing and Tie Interceptor - the model i REALLY want is the millenium falcon
BTW if you go to ebay you can see all the old star wars figures and models from the early 80s! and some of them are pretty cheap too!!

I remember reading a story about the history of LEGO. I think the company is in a bit of trouble today with low sales. There was a lot of dissention in the company about selling kits with plans (I remember my space LEGO kits had plans) and themed sets (Harry Potter, etc). Some people within LEGO thought these were against the philosophy of open-ended and creative play, but these sets proved to be very popular. Maybe that says something about human nature. Why the fuck is this posted on the AFX board? :)

I thought I'd wait until I knew what you thought, before I did! I personally think, as a collector of all things Star Wars...that the Yoda figure and the other figures are quite crappy!
The ships are quite good! The X-Wing, Imperial Shuttle etc.etc. The large X-Wing is really good

shut up, inverted whale - this is a board for aphex fans - we are allowed other interests you know. the sets have always been themed, well ever since i was a kid way back in the early 80s - only thing was, it was the one big city set, which i loved - every kid's desire to have a LEGO city sprawling through their bedroom.
i have the imperial shuttle - really nice model. i have my eye on a few ebay items, but i will have to be patient...

Do any of you remember those Lego sets from the early 80;s where the people had like animal heads? I still have a goat and a cat person. I wanna say the series was called Funcoland but thatz totally wrong, me know.
Tyco blox fucking suck!! I;ve got some way old assembly manuals, like the first three castles that had those specialized castle parts... me;ve always thought of scanning them and posting them on my site. But then me;m like, alot of work, and who carez anywho?
If;n me ever get a girl in the crib me dump out the legos and if they kan;t hang then they kan;t hang... ;]
