faq: it will take you at least 2 years to produce a
listenable track unless you are actually gifted.

programs; (firstly buy a mac) then there is logic, reason,
ableton and so on.. this information can be found be using
the xlt search. quite easy isnt it, once you get into the
whole DIY thing on the web.

long road ahead of you - good luck!

rule #1:
don't believe all this shite about macs being better than
PCs. Not true.

i use Pinnacle Instant Music as a sequencer, and Audacity
for most sample effects - both of which came free with my
puter. i paid £0 for my software. the moral of the story
is: any old shite will do, all you need is some good ideas.

listen to alot of music and attempt to re-create it....

If you want something entertaining and sometimes
informative, you could also check out my podcast.
(LAZY_TITLE)

But basically.... find a friend who you like hanging out
with who also makes music and see if you can hang in his
studio and find out what stuff he uses. Get some of the
same and then when you have technical questions ask them.

Making music in the begninning is about trying anything...
and getting in a community of ppl who are helpful who'll
give you a hand where you're messing up.

top points... dont go into it with an ego... and understand
there is no "wrong" way for being creative... just different
tools and approaches for the needs and the results.

best of luck to ya..
