I know there are a lot of fans of the Raster-Noton label
here, so what do you think of the guy's debut album? Anyone
that is interested can listen to 40 second clips from all of
the songs at the label's website.

I've tried to discuss this album before, but no one seems to
be interested. It's a shame since Alva Noto's new album
interested a lot of people. Stabil is one of my favourite
album from 2006 and I really hope for more stuff from this
guy.

Yeah that really is a shame.. The project is very promising,
but that is to be expected - this is Raster-Noton we are
talking about. Check out the XOM track made for
Stop Rokkasho if you havent.

By 'project' I was refering to Kangding Ray. Stop Rokkasho
is a different project, concerning the dangers of the
Rokkasho reprocessing plant and the track I posted was made
to support this action. Check out the site for more info.

Stabil is an excellent album, it was also in my top 10
albums from last year. While it fits in easily with the
label's current releases, this album could have been been
released seven, or even ten years ago on labels like 12k or
Mille Plateaux, yet it succeeds in sounding fresh. I would
love to hear him perform live.
