David Byrne (of Talking Heads) is the cowboy outfit wearing traveller who serves as the narrator, presenting the fictional town of Virgil, Texas. The film is composed of several bizarre scenes that introduces the different characters and the society of this town. Very surreal and funny. The terms "Lynch- / Twin Peaksesque" are a bit overused, but they fit this movie perfectly well.
Recommended, whether you're a Talking Heads fan or not.

Trivia: The band who invented electronic music got their name from the song "Radio Head" performed in this movie.
By the way, are "film" and "movie" synonyms or do they have slightly different meanings? Or is this another UK / US difference?

The drummer from one of my favourite happy-pop bands, The Ladybug Transistor died yesterday of asthma. That's like the worst death I can imagine :(
