I'm bored with the internet

It's really hard to get excited over commercials and
constant virus-paranoia. When was the last time you used the
internet for other than downloading music, programs and
endless streams of mind-altering porn?
Has the net reached it's 'dead end'? Or am I the only one
than misses the small touch of real life...

You're here on this message board aren't you? I use the
Internet all the time, especially for emailing and MSM. I
don't use floppy disks anymore, I just mail them into work -
it's so much better!

I love the net, I've only been a junkie since the summer,
when I got my computer as a graduation gift. I'm not getting
bored of it at all, in fact I'm just really getting into
it... I use it a bit too much, I have to admit... but I'm
FAR from bored!

you forgot about dowloading movies. That's the other thing
you can do with the internet. All be it they're mostly porn
movies.

It's easy, fast and reliable but nearly as entertaining as
feeding ducks

I also use it to buy stuff, cds and books! I've even had
food delivered to the house from Tesco once (supermarket
here the UK)

Porn is great... I use the net for porn a lot. I'm the only
person in the house that uses this, it's MY computer, so I
can't get caught or embarrassed. Hehe.

interest to fetish...

I used to live on a boat and my friends and I would start
throwing bread to the ducks. Soon there would be hundreds of
ducks, geese and the occasional swan crowding around. They
are so pushey and bitchy.

That's a great idea. All we need is a webcam pointed at a
group of ducks and the user can launch pieces of bread with
a mouseclick and watch them eat. This is much better than
porn ;)

The internet is amazing, it is possibly the greatest
invention of all time, second to electricity, it is
definately not declining in any way, I find only new uses
for it as time goes on.

(I do know what you mean though)

when they started to release the 3d-browsers and the ability
to make a new WWW I thought "finally..a next generation" but
the internet is still the same...u can't get more
interactive than it is right now... Ok sure... if everybody
went out to buy some VR-glasses and a whole new computer,
the chances that we will find new use of the internet, will
be bigger. It's really that "big new thing" I'm missing. mp3
was a big new thing at that time. p2p-networking was also
something that also scored big.
Even Windows Xp got boring. It already has all the needed
programs for burning cd's, browsing FTP, and
ripping/listening mp3. Only if your think those programs
really suck, u can use the extra 5 minutes for installing
the programs u really want, and after that you're there. The
end of upgrading...
When I use my computer it's "check mail, check Afx MB,
download something (anything!)". And when that's done, I can
do it again...

that's it! Check email, check Aphex MB, check Glitch MB,
maybe look at some lovely nudie people, try to find parts
for my old Porsche that don't cost beaucoup ducats, and
that's pretty much it.

I'd probably use it more if I had a high speed connection.

Cheap entertainment, free access to huge amounts of info,
free communication, access to full programs, samples for
tracks, music, make new friends, learn how to make bombs,
kill your friends in Counterstrike, avoid going into
university and just download your notes, submit assignments
via email, find *anything* you really want on ebay, buy rare
records your local shops don't have at places like HTFR,
enjoy discounts on hardware without the hassle of leaving
the house and dealing with retarded sales clerks &etc.
&etc.

All for the price (for me) of 1 pint of guiness a week? The
internet is incredible.
