The greatest jazz composer of the 20th century died from
cancer last friday morning... I saw him live less than a
year ago and now he is gone....so sad...

If you do not know his music you should do yourself a favor
and get hold of a copy of "Point of departure". IMO it is
one of the greatest and most original records ever
released!

Thankfully, Blue Note is reissuing his records at the moment
so his legacy will survive...

monk was a better composer, but andrew hill was indeed the
