I've just bought a 2.8 V6.

it's alright, you'll be ripped to shreds in a horrific car
crash within the year. it's like natural selection, only if
you take anyone else down with you, i'll be sure to come
around and defecate on your gravestone.

It's always funny when youngsters discover how fragile the
human body is.

I take it you're a hippy then?

was a strong reaction to my recent purchase, normally I get
that kind of response from stupid tree huggers.

i'm not a hippy, i don't hug trees, i'm not crusty, i don't
have dredlocks, but i do care about the environment.

I do care but I also like classic cars.

A small point though; aren’t our environmental efforts
insignificant and immediately cancelled out by the likes of
China & India?

If I strike it rich, I aim to immediately buy an Aston
Martin DB9 & a Lamborghini Gallardo.

Fuck the environment. The only people who really care
(pretend) are those people who are too fucking poor to
afford to run a car.

Good work sheffieldbleep.

i love classic cars too, especially classic american cars,
which are some of the least environmentally-sound cars ever
designed.

and as for your second point, you're probably right, but
such a defeatist attitude won't help either. countries
showing no regard for the environment can be forced into
doing so by sanctions. but if people in our part of the
world don't even bother, we'll have no moral high-ground
from which to lecture the rest.

i dont know anything about cars

but did you just seek out people who would hypothetically be
mad about your car so you could tell them about your car and
make them mad

cars are a waste of money. taxes, gas and what not. a waste.
the only possible reason is 'freedom'. which was true one
day, but nowadays everybody's subject to heavy traffick.
driving a car is becoming an expensive way to stand still.

I like to speed around the countryside when I need some...
speed... in my life. Even in my Chrysler Cirrus, the effect
is quite different from standing still. Hopefully
Sheffieldbleep has access to some prime country roads and a
nice sound system, driving around cities does suck.

the UK has plenty of great country roads: when I had a Ford
Ka I managed to get it to 110mph on a straight country road
between Aberdeen and Huntly - it was awesome, but kinda
scary since the car was shaking and it felt like I had
engaged the warp-drive.
