I'd proudly wear that around town if it had a less goofy head. Awesome codpiece.

i think the costume is badass too but not for starks grey suit - i dont think they should have made it so hunky/bunky looking

The place where that pic's at says something about a Gold Suit... Maybe that one looks less hunky/bunky.

The Grey Suit looks pretty accurate to me. There's been hundreds of Iron Man suits. This is definitely a version of the early prototypes you get glimpses of in the comics.

if the movie is anywhere near accurate to the series, this suit should occupy about 15-20 minutes of the flick at best, while serving as a nice contrast towards how badass his contemporary suit will be. I wouldnt get too worked up about it.

I'm more worried about the plot!
"When troubled billionaire Tony Stark creates a life support suit to assist him after a life threatening accident, he ultimately decides to use its technology to fight evil and crime."
What happened to the Vietnam capture bit?

Vietnam is a bit of a dated plot point. But yeah I hope he doesn't break his neck after falling in the shower or something. Retcon the Vietnam thing to the Gulf War or Afghanistan.
Who's the villain going to be?

...and they've put Afghanistan in, too:
"In Iron Man, Downey plays millionaire industrialist Tony Stark, who creates the high-tech armor to fight villains after suffering a life-threatening heart injury in war-torn Afghanistan. (See photo of Downey forging the armor and the resulting Mark I gray suit.)"
