ive got a favourite story about getting reverse culture shock i arrived at australian customs after a holiday in malaysia. on the wall was a mural sized poster of young guys carrying surfboards on a background of white sands and blue skies all over the mural were stylized words like 'grommet' 'stick' and a whole bunch of other surfie lingo. i had no idea where i was. |
