Accepted a Job Offer

So 2 weeks after getting my layoff notice, I've already
found a new job. It's for slightly less pay but a huge
bonus is that it's about 10 city blocks from my condo. I
could walk, jog, bike, breakdance to work, weather
permitting.

I'll still be doing genetic research but instead of studying
old white people with Parkinson's disease, I'll be
researching childhood diabetes. This will likely be more
rewarding work.

not that anybody here really cares, but you know...
the internet!

apparently retirees or people with ma
degrees apply, just to be doing some
work, so its harder to get those jobs.

It seems like it's a more difficult job than it looks like
on the outside. There's probably lots of weird theory.

Congrats, i'm thinking of changing job too, to one that
would also allow me to "walk, jog, bike, breakdance to work,
weather
permitting" , bike especially, that'd be great
