So, I'm gonna make a cd for a mentally disabeled guy I'm
working with. He is only listening to hip-hop, and now he is
asking me what kind of music I'm listening to. So I'm
thinking about making a cd with some good electronic tracks
with just a slight hip-hop feeling. I'm thinking Goz
Quarter, some gescom, xela and whatever. Give me ideas!

Well, I guess, already having Autechre, and Autechre under
another name, you've got it pretty much covered, the whole
slightly hip hop electronic stuff. Those Ae raps can get
pretty tedious at times, and I don't condone their
glamourisation of gangbangers, but the do work for local
communities raising social consciousness and even raiging
money for mentally impaired IDM fans under the Phobia Zero
Fund. Apart from them though, tracks that spring to mind
for a mental patient, perhaps one with deep rooted
psychological problems and murderous tendancies would be

The Mover - Atmos-Fear
God - Fucked
Dopplereffekt - Graviton
Happy Flowers - I Saw My Picture On A Milk Carton
Paleface - Burn and Rob

it's very stigmatizing to think of hip hop fans as mentally
disabled.

If he's asking you what kind of music you're listening to
maybe you should make a CD with the music you actually
listen to.

That's why I opened this topic. I know I have enough of this
kind of music on my laptop/in my shelves, but my head worked
slow yesterday, so I needed ideas. Thanks everyone.
