some fella has been inspired by the writings of JG Ballard
to write ambient music. i've never read Ballard's books, i'm
not a big fan of most ambient music, but i fell asleep to
this stuff last night and it was most pleasant.

volume 1
volume 2

Give his book "Concrete Island" a go. It's one of my
favourites. "Crash" is quite good too.

The ambient music wasn't really to my taste; not ambient
enough for me, too many harsh and bright sounds too often.

The Normal's "Warm Leatherette" if you want songs inspired
by Ballard.

yeah i found that too.

but yeah, i guess it was a reccomendation. it didn't piss me
off enough for me to get out of bed and turn it off, so
yeah.

and yes, i've heard many, many, many good things about his
books.. just haven't got the time to be reading them just
yet.
