Good film, any one else see it? Reccommend anything like
it?

Seen it awhile back, and just caught it again last night.

good flick. its filmed at an abandoned mental institution
only a few towns from my hometown. me and my friends used to
go to the ground outside, smoke a few bowls and scare
ourselves silly.

its supposedly getting torn down soon, so this is the last
time most of those areas will ever be on film.

other horror movies i can recommend with extremely cheaply
done trick endings, lets see....

Identity
Secret Window
High Tension
Descent (american cut)

yeah, the ending did smack of a bit of laziness, but the
film's all about the atmosphere anyway.

i guess it probably adds to it if you have actually been to
some of those places and heard the ghosts that inhabit the
area.

I live not to far from the abandoned Pilgram State
Psychiatric Facility, and wandered around quite a bit in
those old buildings, so yeh, checking these places out does
add to the films.

I also live just a few block from the "Amityville Horror
House".

Cool, Secret Window was decent. I'll have to check out
those other ones.

secret window was fight club in the woods with no project
mayhem (read: boring)

its been a while since i've seen this but i remember it was
pretty disturbing at times.

recommended in the 'and now for something completely
different' category.

i thought it was good when i saw it, but i'm not sure now.
i'd have to see it again to be sure.

at least it's 10x better than most "horror" or "scary" films
out these days.

Indeed. I like "psychological horror", or survival horror
genre stuff, especially if it involves an insane asylum.
Anythying that suspends disbelief, then offers a trick
ending.
