those are the really perverse fridge magnets aren't they?
a fun thing to do is to try to make as innocent a sentence as possible from them. it's quite difficult, but the results are always bizarre and amusing

"Only boring people get bored."
It used to really annoy me when people said that. Nowadays I am so busy that I haven't been bored for literally years. Take on lots of things to do (that you enjoy) and you'll find the boredom soon disappears.

personally i never heard a boring person complain about being bored. i guess its because they are too busy sucking the life and soul out of everything they possibly can.

take the fridge along with the magnets to the Tate Modern, make up some bullshit metaphorical meaning that it's supposed to convey, and sell it for a few hundred grand as modern art.

Colin Wilson says that boredom is the result of disengaging with life. To combat boredom one must make the effort to engage with life, even when nothing interesting seems to be occuring.
