one thing, i dont like the rubbery higher pitched synths that come in during the end and beginning.
its a pretty dark piece and those sound somewhat light compared to it.
but extremely nice work. i love it

This is one of the best songs I've heard from you, and I'll even go as far as to say that this is the best spam ever posted on xltronic.
Have you been sending out demos? Because you need to have this sound of yours signed and out there.
The track is perfect, I love everything about it, especially the atmosphere and mood. Wow, man, wow..
More people have to hear this.

Very good quality. One thing I'd recommend is loops that are out of phase with eachother. Autechre did this in an LP5 track; forget which one. But the basic track was probably mostly loops of 4's as normal, but another sort of seperately looped accent to the main drum occured in loops of 5 or some odd number, making the whole thing more organic.
Or that main loudest most obvious percussiony repetitious part at the beginning was maybe too repetitious (drowned out the other stuff a bit), so maybe that drum could have been a loop of:
drum (space) (space) drum drum (space) etc instead of drum drum drum drum drum drum yarr This would be a good track to remix.

It's fucking awful sorry, I mean sure it's "IDM", but that's not a good thing.

I had to listen to it again just to make sure I wasn't just being a cunt. The stutter effect makes my soul die slightly, the length of the track makes me want to destroy earth, the only good bits are when the synth is practically left alone to play itself and the there's some cut up vocals (hey! who'd have thought of that?). The bedroom echo is this instance isn't appealing, it's the sound of an "edgey" Parent's Day performance at school.
I love these tracks that eventually have to concede that just "a sound" is better than the "artist" trying to play anything, as happens here.

lol, ok I'll get criticised for this but: You say about the bedroom echo, but Aphex has used this at least once in his career, probably many times.

hehe, those pads you're hearing must be the abstract violin thru reverb I put in there.
big: most probably ableton live's operator.
Link for Oddio and anyone else who doesn't like YouSmeltIt.
