Spring 2007, nothing new about a new Autechre album? Well,
meanwhile a new Autechre poll.

vote here

Let's hope they see it and tailor their new material
accordingly. Maybe they should get the cream of XLT talent
to mix it and provide Creative Direction throughout the
recording, maybe Cygnus could be on Skype the whole time
going "Sean, Sean... SEAN, you know that bit there with the
robot crunch and the sound like a Mecha Warrior violating an
anime girl filtered through a William Gibson empath-patch
comes in, make it more like this Bukakakaka..
KRANNGGGG!!!!!! - bukbubkbuk... prrrrrrrr... prrr, then,
then add the lush pads... Good... good, bit lusher...
slightly lusher... bit more lush.... lusher... I know you
can go lusher.. almost.. there OW!!!! The fuck was
that?????".

They could even release it as XLT Vibes 34: The New Autechre
Album.

preferably something new..also, dunno why they would stick
with something they've done already suddenly..they always
went on..i think

like i said before, unlike it's really different from their
other albums, i won't care about it. i don't "need" more
autechre albums than i already have - i already have too
many and i almost never listen to them.

I hope they will release something pretty innovative.

I think they should do Community Service for "inspiring" a
generation to make cheap, annoying copies of them and
rendering Electronic Music a joke as a result. I know it's
not their fault, but they are responsible.

I would prefer something overtly cheesy and emotional over
something ''innovative'' or ''new''. Something less tongue
and cheek (I get that vibe from them, whether or not it's
true), and something more ''STELLLAAAAAAA!!!!''. What this
would entail, I do not know.

It looks like this will be the first poll without (explicit)
complaints about the poll itself. Woofter in the pool!

I really don't mind. All I want it to be is on vinyl aswell
as CD.

That would rip the board apart, there'd be no survivors,
just limbs and cocks suspended in the purgatory of XLT v2
that's always just beyond the event horizon of Phobia's
fantasy dreamscape where we're all just figments of his
unhinged psychosis.

I remember a "best of..." a couple of years ago, and
Autechre won. So there. And if you take into account that
Gescom was another finalist (I still don't want to see the
difference between the two), they REALLY won. So there, the
board wasn't ripped apart at all. Just a couple of
scratchmarks here and there. ...Apart from Squarepusher's
head being cut off.

perhaps people just ignore dog belchs comments now, because
i only see ONE in reply to his original post. i'd like to
quote some of it, incase people really are so biased here
that they choose not to read certain posts depending on who
it is (that said, i doubt anyone will pay any special
attention to this glorious post by pigster).

"Sean, Sean... SEAN, you know that bit there with the
