Autechre should be releasing a new album around this time
of year...Why the hell not? Are they finished with albums or
something?

ep7 - 1999
confield - 2001
draft 7.30 - 2003
untilted - 2005

theyve been 2 years apart so far, so, its likely we'll get a
new one this year. could be 2008 - who knows, just gotta
wait

it'd have been announced by now if it was going to be
released in april anyway- so, we can kind of forget about an
april one for '07. still got the rest of the year though and
2008! and uhh, 2009!

they are holding off a little so that they really will have
2 alternate versions of the album this time. One of them
will be given as promos and the real one will not be heard
until the sale date.
it will be massive niggaz

well they are having Chris Douglas of O.S.T. making one of
them, and Mira Calix making the other. There basically will
be no real "autechre" album but most people think two actual
new autechre albums came out. The idea is to hoax over all
of their fans.
since chris taught AE the confield/draft sound, he is now
reinventing electronic music again so that autechre can bite
off his new style. Mira calix has now learned enough from
Sean (besides how to give good head) as to emulate what a
new autechre album might sound like.

offline jackeroffer from Aruba on 2007-03-12 14:55 [#02061461]

or the other rumor floating around is that one of them will
be made by Sean and the other entirely by Rob.

announce-your-album-earlier-than-normal-and-curate-the-best
I'm still in the -of-the

at this point, Autechre is more a genre than an entity.

If not this April, then I hope later this year. I'm eager to
see what words they invented for their latest track titles.

Then again, it might not be too long until those chaps
'retire' and let the next generation of artists lead the
electronic music scene, but I'm no prophet.

this just in, the new album title:

autechre:Wh0G1v3s4FUck?

this thread is as rediculous as the 'new aphex'
thread...believe it when its twirling around on your record
player or whatever you listen to music with.

Yeah, come on Autechre, step down so the next generation of
people who want to sound like Autechre are able to sell 9
copies of their album to friends and then another 9 copies
worth get distributed for free via p2p. Stop getting in the
way, the electronic scene needs new leaders. Leaders. Lead
the way. Of the electronic scene.

bit more of that please, but it's 2007 now, so perhaps we
