Well, i guess their is a movie thats going to be on tv
about mathew shephard, he was a gay teenager that was tied
to a pole and beaten to death, just because he was gay.

Anyways, the reason i brought this up is because his mother
goes around to colleges and spreads the word of mathew and
such. And then there is a gay bashing group that follows
HER around to counter he word!

She came to my school, CMSU, and so did the gay bashers!
They had this dumb protest outside the school with signs
that said "Matt in Hell" and "Thank God For Sept 11". The
worst part was this lil boy that was probably 10 years old
holding these signs, absolutley sick!

These people are sad excuses for humans. These kind of
people make the world suck.

i watched that movie...very sad...the group of gay bashers
are in it...apparently this is what they do...travel around,
led by this religious fanatic guy who preaches all this
bible inspired hate...awful really

well..i should call it bible inspired...but they do use "the
word of god" to back up their messages... in the movie, this
big group of matthew's friends made these angel suits with
wings like big curtains...and marched over and stood in a
circle around the protesters, so that no one could see them
behind the wings

I didnt quite understand the 'thank god for sept 11' sign.
Maybe like 10 gay people died in the attacks or
something????

Is that why we can thank god that this happened?

there's a Gay-Straight Alliance club at my school, where gay
and straight unite to fight the sexual barrier.

Agreed pachi, she COULD leave matt's name alone and COULD
stop traveling and talking to kids which would probably give
her some peace of mind from those fucks,,,,BUT i just think
she wants to really make a difference and i salute her for
that.

She is obviously a strong lady

Totally agreed with everything said here. I hope that movie
is shown here, i'd really like to see it.

I've only seen Matthew's Mother once in an interview on NBC
Today and she seemed very strong. Everything she has gone
through and is going through but she continues. I really
respect her and what she is trying to do.

there is one at my school.
they are real nazi bastards, they seem to push their ideas
on everyone.
just cause you think a certain way, doesn't mean that others
have to think that way.

they aren't forceful of ideas at my school. my school's
generally laid back, imo, but there are lots of diverse
clubs.
