Oh yes, after almost 5 years of doing this, I still find tuning and fixing databases absolutely scintillating. I'm also writing up a site audit and glancing over the finer points of the data protection act. Bet you're jealous! :D

Yeah, the thing that goes on the back. I need to get one for my bike, the rucsac straps were starting to mark my old leathers (before I put a hole in them) and when I go away for work, a tankbag isn't big enough/can't take a laptop. Never mind if you don't know what sort it is, I was just looking for recommendations for one, without forking out several hundred pounds for Givi hard luggage.

It's all relative; when things are going well, I'm completely unimportant and probably the most expendable. When things are going badly, I can save people millions of pounds and hundreds of people their jobs.

i quit my job about 6 months ago, and started my own business. it was really risky, but i'm finally starting to make some money.. actually, about 3 times more than i did doing tech support.
it's very challenging to work for yourself. it puts every skill i have to the test. and i'm having to constantly learn new things. actually, that's probably the best part.
lately, i've been designing drupal themes for people, and writing articles about drupal hosting. one of my articles just got featured on LinuxToday, which was a nice surprise.
