I find them pretty irresistable sometimes. I listen to Lay
All Your Love On Me probably every week.

They have some deadly catchy tunes. If we were living in the
70s we'd be obliged to hate them, with our eclectic tastes
in music.

They are not for me, really. They do have nice melodies, but
its just a bit too jarring overall. Too epic. Like Opera,
ELO and the Beegees had sisters

just last thursday or something we were sitting in a pub
singing "take a chance on me.. take a chance on you" with
the "take a chance, take a chance,
take-a-take-a-take-a-chance" subline going for.. quite some
time.

My favourite Abba song is probably Dum Dum Diddle.

Dum-dum-diddle, to be your fiddle
To be so near you and not just hear you
Dum-dum-diddle, to be your fiddle
I think then maybe you'd see me, baby
You'd be mine
And we'd be together all the time
Wish I was, dum-dum-diddle, your darling fiddle

It just sounds so earnest. She really really wants to be his
fiddle.

Abba are one of those bands who you either love, hate, or
something in between. I like SOS.

I had one of those ABBA sweaters with a rainbow through the
text and the first B was reversed so it mirrored the second
one. This was around 1977. Yeah, I don't mind hearing them
on the radio. The melodies are super catchy.
