Is this the same The Field who made the track 'Over the Ice'
on Kompakt's Total 7? That's a very nice track.

This is a fabulous piece of work. An album of glorious
techno that needs to be heard.

maybe if i said it reminded me of the rush i got when i
first listened to selected ambient works people might
listen to it.

but it's not a SAW rip off or nuffin.

Tolstoyed, put it back on this instant and think about what
you've said.

It's supposed to be dull. That's why it's good.

i found it sounding a bit dull, overlong and shallow the
first time... now i find it mesmerizing. i think you just
have to focus on the ambience and not the beats, or simply
give it enough time for it to grow on you. i especially like
the seventh track, The Deal — lovely stuff...

Pitchfork's review of the album is pretty good (and
accurate) in my opinion, and they have an interview of
the guy as well (a pretty good read while listening to the
album).

For this release, I vote yes. There are some great moments
on this record and it hasn't gotten old yet "!" Not a
single filler track I can think of.

i've only just discovered that 'a paw in my face' samples
that lionel richie tune. the one with the blind girl that
makes the sculpture of his head.

tune.
