Two questions:

1. If I want to save an internet-page, without copying
everything into a word-document (since I don't have the
program), what am I supposed to do? I've saved a couple of
files into something called MHT-format (they seem to work),
instead of the usual Html; so what do you reckon is the
best? I'd like a "copy" of everything (text, images, etc) on
the page. (MHT seems to do this for me, but I have to be
sure)

2. Are there any free-ware cd-burn programs? And/-or
dvd-burn-progs as well?

Thanks

What Browser are using to perfomr this most rudimentry of
tasks that you're currently making a pig's ear of?

For example, in Firefox, you go File - Save Page As.. and
then you can choose "Web page complete" (meaning with
everything included, images etc), "Web Page HTML only" or as
a txt file. If you're saying MHT is that another Microsoft
attempt to make the web a less pleasing, more Microsfot
centric experience for everyone?

MHT: via Internet Explorer

I'm not sure about Mozilla Firefox.

You see, I'd like to be able to open the documents without
them being 'linked' to the page I copied them from, i.e.
even if the web-page would have been wiped from the face of
the earth, I'd rest assured I have them all saved up on the
harddrive.

Well, if you insist on using IE, when you go to Save page,
choose the "Webpage, complete" option and that will save the
HTML page, and a folder with any linked items in it like
images, onto your computer, obviously it'll only save the
page as it is at the time you save it.

Does Mozilla save everything into one file, without the
linked items?

Because if it does, it's obviously better.

Thanks for the help

* with the "Web page complete"-function of Mozilla, that is

I think if you want the "one file" option you need to stick
then with MHT which seems only reliable in Internet
Explorer, otherwise with Mozilla you download the html file
and all the linked items go into a folder (in the same place
where you save the page) containing the linked items, and it
rewrites the page so that it knows its linked contents are
now in that local folder ie, you don't need to be connected
to the web in order to view it.

Or take a screenshot and save it as a jpg. Or print it.
