LAZY_MP3 - Working title.

Excuse the clicks, it's a live mixdown...

Sort of a Christoph De Babalon meets Mick Harris tune.
Thinking of adding some pizzicato chello to ramp the stress
level up...

Any chello players here?

great work... but the tune in itself strikes me as all too
familiar somehow. i would take that drill 'n bass beat off
and replace it with something more alien sounding if i was
you.

great piece. wonder how it will sound once finished. :)

Yeh, I'd experimented with vocode filtering, envelope
shaping and the like, but it made it sound more silly than
dark... Not really the mood I was going for. I'm hoping
those breaks will sit better once I finish up the
transitions.

DSPed-out cello would be interesting.
do you remember Xmd5a? how aphex
turnt that synth into a dribbly goo? how
about cello melody carrying on into a
drumbs at that same rhythm and tone.
it was a well wicked track anyway btw.

it's toooooo loud and poorly mixed, give everything a bit of
breathing space

I was thinking pizzicato (with a bit of resonance filtering
to keep it alive), in a pretty straight forward 1/4 note
rhythm. Possible distortion with short attack to keep it
dark and stressful...

C Dim

CDim D# C C C C C CDim (loop)

(not terribly innovative, but achieves the goal)

It's just a live take, it'll get a proper mixdown when it's
done. But yeh, it does feel more like a wall of noise with
very little dynamics...

the 2nd half is excellent where it breaks down into a half
tempo beat, im not too fond of the first drum and bass half.

thought this was going to be about that 'old' punk band.
