"What Time is Love" famously was ripped off by lots of others at "the time", love, the Italians were especially keen.
But I couldn't belieeeeeeeve how .. awful...that Scooter track was after being badgered into downloading the 12" version... ripping parts of the track off wholesale (ok so The KLF were shamless samplers themselves), the distorting of The KLFs Situationist sloganeering into mere... drivel, swapping a sheep for a cow... The KLF went beyond meing a novely act because of their history, myths, contradictions and damn good tunes.
Scooter have silly hair. I don't know whether to admire their nerve or just stare at it blankly in vague disbelief.

Did somebody mention Scooter? I absolutely adore this new album, I've been listening to it almost non stop, and I'm very happy they have moved into the 4th chapter with their long time studio buddy.
It's always nice to listen to people with a sense of humour instead of constant pseudo academical pricks.
East Sands Anthem is great and I prefer their version of Radioactivity to the original. The highlight for me has to be the 3AM remix of 'Behind The Cow' (another nod towards KLF there.) This blows me away each time, even though it's pretty straight it gets me euphoric.*
I do admit that I've rearranged the album slightly to suit my tastes but I'm expecting even bigger things for their next work now that Michael Simon is onboard. I miss Axel Coon a lot!
To counter the bitter faces, I've also been listening to The Knife, The Stranglers, Gabriel Ponte and Analord. Some of the bitter fuck stains around here don't deserve Analord.
* Gay joke plant to test for retards.

Regarding Analord: Listening to the feedback of your 'fans' is the worst possible thing you can do. You hypnotise yourself with their metanarrative, It submits your brain into the rhetorical shifts displeased individuals impose upon you and causes you to pander to that or at least throws your balance via stress. This is the ruin of many artists. Only unsatisfied people pipe up (1:1000? 1:10,000?), everyone else who is satisfied is too busy with other things to speak of it, so asking for feedback is ultimately flawed.
It would be good if this paradoxically found its way to Richard. My advice is to do what pleases you and not to taint yourself by absorbing unnecessary neural linguistics outside of your artistic process, especially not when you're bipolar.
Pythagoras had strict rules upon speech in his school, speaking was punishable by death. Language is ultimately flawed, although useful at times, and he regarded it as the ruin of (hu)man. Language is a relatively new invention and the cessation of internal dialog is the crux of mediation, you feel the stillness of time. If you can't escape your own narrative then why do you seek out the further diluted subjective narrative?

I'm sure he doesn't need your "advice" in order to do what he pleases, and I'm sure he doesn't give two shits what people other than his mates think, whether good or bad, that much is apparent in the music he releases and indeed that that he doesn't release.
It's a good job Pythagoras had recourse to speech or you wouldn't have heard of him in order to shoehorn him into a Scooter thread at this moment in time.

It's interesting what you say but if one were concerned with shutting off their internal dialogue the worst place they could come is an Internet messageboard, where there's the doubt who you're communicating with, if indeed anyone at all, just intesifies the internalisation of some sort of... I don't know, I've not read up on it as much as you have.
I don't know, I find myself endlessly amusing so it works for me.

Oh, go on then. I'll tell you ALL about the problems I'm having about planning permission to build a garden wall with the local council, and you can get the drinks in, I'll have a beer, you can have what you like, a Ginseng cocktail or an exotic tea, and I won't even sneer.

I followed an earthleakage directive once and bought the Lucky Jim album. Fortunately that's rather good. But I don't think my luck will hold with this one.
I heard a Lucky Jim track in an advert yesterday too. Which I thought odd.
