Due to questionable legality I won't link to any in this thread and I suggest no one else does, but I'm curious: how much music do you download from them?
I get so much terrific old jazz, soundtracks and rare out of print avant garde and electronic music from them that I almost never resort to slsk or emule anymore.
Would I have gone to a record store to pay for a Coleman Hawkins disk or a Piero Umiliani soundtrack or a Camille Sauvage library music disk I've never heard before? No, I don't think so; this doesn't represent a lost sale for the record companies IMHO. (I'm 99.999% sure you wouldn't find the Umiliani or Sauvage in print anyways)
On the other hand, is the free and easy availability of this eclectic mix replacing purchased CDs in my music diet? Yes, I think so.

i find it rather difficult to find ones that're updated regularly with quality material.
really i only ever check two, and they're both bloody electronica ones.
could you email me the URLs of your jazz blogs? I'd be very interested....

The ecclectic and wonderful Spoilt Victorian Child blog has come back to life after a brief cessation of activity and, by all accounts, a re-think.
