[SPAM] Trash Alone.

From the upcoming Mango & Trash OST, recently discovered
after having been thought lost since 1987, comes
Trash Alone

As the notes written for the liner explain:

"Trash, after a hard day with his new partner, Mango,
arrives home late and drunk, and plays a melancholy sax,
remembering his dead canine friend, Buddy. He reaches the
very bottom of despair, contemplating ending it all and to
hell! with the world.
"

Excuse my inability to differentiate between the electonic
and acoustic realms, but how was the sax done?

It was programmed (with extreme skill!) note by note in
Fruityloops Studio, version #5 :D

I'm thinking you're thinking of the bass in the last section
of the piece?

You've done well there. Kudos!

This is so insanely cheesy, it's great. Reminds me a lot of
Playstation soundtracks. Wavetable sounding, which I love.

Don't forget to check out the other currently-available
Mango & Trash track! :D It's a bit more upbeat, depicting as
it does:

"Our two heroes, Mango & Trash, find themselves in the
middle of a hunt for major cocaine chief, Freddy Van
Krowley. On the way, Mango finds time for Love and Trash
gets moody and threatens to resign!
"

I love the melody on this, top work, very nice alternation
between the scales. Did you use VST for the instruments or
just samples?

Great stuff, man.

Both pieces are workouts for a new VSTi I lately downloaded,
Edirol's Hyper Canvas, a GM VSTi. Everything is programmed
note by note. No samples at all.

I'll look into that as soon as possible, sounds brilliant.

Edirol also have the great Orchestral VSTi, which I've used
extensively before. The only complaint is that it doesn't
save the presets you're using when you re-load it. I don't
know if this can be solved, I'm far too lazy to ever consult
anything. A bad trait of mine :-s

I really love making music. I come home from work and I
usually have some little idea which has popped into my head
during that time, and excitedly get down to it. It's
awesome! I intend to synthesise riffy metal rock next ;)

Trash has more integrity and heart than Mango, who's more of
a family man.

I really hate that about Orchestral, but yeah, it's terrific
for knocking out cheesy, General MIDI-esque stuff.

hahaha, the pastel colours and neon lights materialise in
the sound waves exiting the excited elements of my speakers
as the smoke machine generates a small cloud down on the
street visible only for a second before it is broken apart
by Trash riding his motorbike, clearly determined to make
something happen!

I never had the change to tell you that mango & trash
burrowed it's way into my heart/mind, marlowe.
I'm excited to hear everything by you now.
Grabbing Trash Alone.

chance* and any other word I may have mispelt, misspelt?

Trash Alone is great. This music makes me think of an early
90s snes rpg that was never made.

That's very kind of you :) Re-listening to it (a few times!)
I think it needs to be extended: I like the menacing
introduction near the end, and it seems a shame to just
squander it.

grabbed the rest of your tracks. they're all fantastic. they
loop well, and in a playlist they blend well considering
they're all randomly different.

Trash Alone (Final Version)

It's been extended a bit, some more soulful sax playing by
80s legend Timmy "The Keys" Frumpton. Ends on a down-beat
string section fighting to maintain the will to live!
