The Future Sound of London

So, are they really the future sound? :-)

I listened to there Isness cd today, and I think it is crap.
Before they used to make good techno music, but now they
just make easy-going boring music. It is really sad to see
it happen.

But I like their older cds, for example Accellerator is
really good, or Dead Cities.

Have you listened to Mental Cube 'Q'?

You should, it's one of FSOL finest moments.

I like Dead Cities. On a whim, I bought the Double LP when
it was released about 10 years ago.

I was playing the Papua New Guinea remix album that comes
with the re-re-re-re-re-released Accelator only this
morning. And it's still a legend, in any form. The original
is the best obviously but I do like the Blue States mix.
Yes.

I really like the Mellow Magic Maze remix of PNG. I'm
assuming that it's FSOL themselves, but whoever it is it
works for me.

apart from papua i enjoy their singles the most. lifeforms,
cascade, my kingdom. they're a combination of magic trips
and classical symphonies. magic trips with recurring themes.

woaaaaw

The Isness and Alice in Ultraland are a
completely different project from the Future Sound of
London... they were actually meant to be released under the
Amorphous Androgynous moniker only (not FSOL). if i remember
well, they will continue to release "classic-style" FSOL
music as well, so don't worry if you don't like their
psychedelic poppy style.

i like both.
but FSOL being like a "flow" to me, i'd have a hard time
differentiating between different tracks and i'm not sure i
need/want any more of the same style... don't get me wrong,
i like them very much, their sound is quite unique and
Lifeforms especially is really great, but i'd like
them to try something new in the electronic field.

shut the fuck up, noob. you're playing a long-respected xlt
member in almost every thread i've come too. you're getting
on my nerves, really with your pseudo cool comments.

if ANY new member wants to discuss music on this board you
can't stop them. either it's FSOL or else.

==============================

Dead Cities is the peak of their career, in my opinion.
together with the ISDN and Peel sessions.

Isness and Alice - it's different stuff, completely
different direction due to Cobain's .....fixation ?

it's kinda bullshit to justify the crapness of the
Isness
by saying it was supposed to be released as
Amorphous Androgynous. I mean, I'm listening to Tales of
Ephedrina
right now and it is total class and nothing
like that hippy-wanking-on-a-shiny-new-sitar sounding
bullshit The Isness.
