strange band names? good or bad?

I've been working on a colaboration project with a friend
of mine and he's been trying to rubix cube a band name....
taking totally random phrases and ideas and mashing them
together.

case and point: Bike Theft 100%

I thought it was a kooky name, but hollow since neither of
us ride bikes (bicycles) nor have any interest in stealing
them. Not that we got into an argument on it.... I would
hope that the name of a band would have some value to the
band and their music.... but some band names that are around
today I'm starting to wonder if it even matters anymore.

i dont know if theres such thing as a good name. if it
sounds okay and people like the music they will probably
come to like the name, I think

Rarely funny or clever, especially the new trend of
incorporating C-list celebrities into your nonsense-sences.
Youth Pictures of Florence Henderson or whatever. Then
again, all the cool words or tastefully witty phrases have
already been taken by other artists so I guess there's not
much choice. Doesn't matter much anyway.

i know it doesnt matter much if the music is good...

but still. I would not want to sit and have to
explain/justify the name of some silly wank idea of a band
name. Just seems stupid. I like IDM band/artist names,
they're interesting and different but I don't feel like
they're all for making fun of the whole "band name"
experience....

but some of these new bands.... like 2006+ it's like the
whole thing went out the window... especially more so now
then ever before...

strange bad vs. strange good?

i guess there's no difference.....
