Do you like her? Have you read her book, "Don't pee on my
leg and Tell me it's raining"?

I think you'd like it. The basic premise is that a lot of
America's (and, before I have a bunch of flag waving zealots
incapable of dispationate debate in the thread, I'd best add
"consequently a lot of the western world's") problems stem
from the policies which infantalise people and encourage a
shirking of responsibility and expecting others to fix your
problems. I know these are subjects that interest you, so
thought you'd appreciate the heads up.

I haven't heard about her before, but I laughed at the books
title!

It sounds like an interesting read, but I'm not sure if her
book is available here. However, I think I may have been
onto the same thought: In America there is a sort of ideal
about "THE INDIVIDUAL" who stands sovereign ("I am the state
of John. I am currently at war with the state of Carl.")
with his or her individuality-promoting and liberating
rights. I, as an INDIVIDUALYESIAM, have the right to be free
from everyone else's judgement. However, at the same time,
they seem to want the government to protect them ("I am not
a subject, but I demand protection") while claiming
innocence on account of "everyone else's influence on me
while I was growing up" (or similar things).

Thanks for the tip, if I see it I may not just think "HA HA
funny book title, TV judge lady."

I know the money that should have been spent on that book,
will go to buy whisky instead.

hahaha, that is indeed quite possible.. I also generally
don't like ordering stuff on-line..aside from play.com I've
ordered on-line only two times, and out of those two, only 1
(50%) was successful.

I generally go for Islay whiskys.. I think my fav has gone
from laphroaig to lagavulin, but I try to keep both of them
plus ardbeg in my cabinet at all times.

I have never had a bad experience with online shopping.
Nobody will steal a book like that. It's uneducated post
office employes that steal porn thats the big problem.

My brother ordered something once, and didnt get it. He then
wrote a mail to them, and they replied very politely, and
shipped it again without any trouble.

let me know what it's like, I'm always interested in new
stuff.. unless it tastes like famous grouse or such cognac-y
whiskys.
