Respect.

I'm not tennisfan, but seeing him play... The man is a
genius. An inspirator. And I'm not being sarcastic either.
For a change.

No talking about sports around here today, eh? Your mum is
so fat, Shell is considering drilling her hoping to find
some fossil energy reserves.

Tennis isn't a sport. Womens tennis is an excuse to give
straight men something to wank over on TV before the
watershed. Male tennis exists to give homosexuals something
to admire and be inspired by.

If that's the case, I would have expected a lot more
tennisfans around here.
Perhaps the board should come out of the closet. The "T" in
XLT does NOT stand for "Tronic". No, it stands for "Tennis".
Explains a lot, doesn't it.

federer is indeed the best tennis player I ve seen in my 31
years

I'd like to see him play Sampras "Rocky Balboa"-style. I'm
not sure what the outcome would be of a match between both
in their best days. Of course, Federer has beat him in
reality, but that was when Sampras wasn't as good as he used
to be. I'd like to give him a virtual advantage of the
doubt.

For all you closet gays out there: Federer vs. Sampras

sampras was a machine, perfect, no mistakes, but cold

federer is also prefect, but he makes it so easy... he makes
tennis a beautiful thing...

both have a hard time on clay though, but fedrer is number 2
in clay, while sampras wasnt so good there

tennis is even way more dull than football. it's all about
poker nowdays!

i like.. a few sports.. but im really not a fan at all.
lot of people, either standing about, or running about.
tennis, on the other hand, is two people, against each
other. much more enjoyable i say. you're talking about the
australian tennis thing arent you? heh had no idea you'd
have any idea about it.
i watched abit but barely anything compaired to last year..
and i only saw a few minutes of the final match : |

it's one of the 4 tournaments for grand slam, im sure
everyone following sports would know about it :)

you'd rather watch a poker-match? are you sure? it's not all
casino royale out there. there's no beautiful women walking
around, dressed in fancy dresses, high on expensive
cocktails. no kill, or be killed. no fights backstage. at
least, none that i'm aware of. just guys wearing sunglasses,
playing with chips.

why watch two people run up and down? what's in it for
spectators? (appart from what ecnadniarb already pointed
out)

i was kidding, sorry..but for real, sport became quite dull
for the most part for me. i used to follow skiing, football,
basketball, tennis, car racing..nowdays i don't really watch
any of it anymore..waste of time..pretty much like hanging
here on zilty, but at least i can listen to music while i
post :)

agreed, but the idea is still interesting. i'm still having
war, non-gay feelings for sampras and his emotionally
retarted way of being. he just hit the ball a bit better, i
think. federer plays the game like no other. he truly plays
it. he plays a grandslam final as if it's a friendly match
on a regular random afternoon.

feel sorry for Federer today, hard to watch a grown man
cry,

Nadal is superhuman, almost 10 hours of tennis with little
rest and he's not even out of breath!

been really getting into Tennis lately, I used to be a big
fan of football but most players seem to be wankers.

although Serena Williams pisses me off, winning
everything... the womens final yesterday wasn't even a
final.

good.
