I've got all of the Kompakt compilations and Richie
Hawtin's mixes. What would people recommend as definitive
compilations of the best minimal techno artists, e.g. Get
Physical's or Poker Flat's.

Cheers

I agree. I can't think of any solid minimal compilations.

What about the Katamari Damacy videogame soundtrack
perhaps?

DE9 Transitions is solid as fuck, but yeah, most
compilations I've heard are let down. Maybe that's just what
you have to expect with a compilation though.

The main reason I ask is because there was such an explosion
of great tunes last year and and all the best tracks were
only on 12".

Pole's great too, but I'm referring more to the dancefloor
type stuff here.

I have no idea what the Katamari Damacy is. Maybe I should
listen to its soundtrack's minimal techno stylings and see
what all this fuss is about!

I had to google that bloody Katamari to find out he's
composed music for 'video games' the sell out nerd.

This is Katamari's family looking for him in the distance.
He has bought cows with his sell out money.
