The human brain, too small or not yet advanced enough to comprehend infinity! Lets try!
The universe! Where does it end? how can it end? How can there be NOTHING? How does something last forever? ???????? I mean think about it, the Universe ends right? Whats on the other side of the "end"? How is that even possible? What the hell??

It's like pacman, you go off one side and come back on the other. Even if it is linear, after a point there wouldn't be any more matter.

When you hit the edge, you come out the otherside, sort of like those computer games with the lazy developers which scroll around.
I think

The whole 'end' is to make things easy for us humans to understand.

REFLEX : i believe that the edge of the earth actually goes round in a curve which eventually goes back on itself and joins on to what was the begining again.
As for what is on the outside of this ridiculous cosmic bubble, who knows?...

In my opinion, this question is the reason that religon exists....people need the explanation for everything in one nice little package....

the universe could be expanding infinitely like the surface of an inflating balloon. its 2d area expands without an edge. space could be a 3D version of that.

maybe the universe is just like an animated .gif, cycling over and over pointlessly, and we are but ones and zeros... we have some control of our fate, but it does not matter because the digital universe has broad oversampling that filters out all deviant information in the long run, leaving our actions meaningless...
or is the universe analog... time is needle riding along the grooves of the record, and we are but the pops and crackles on the vinyl... but what happens at the end? does it gets stuck into an entropal lock groove? could a sufficently large black hole cause the record to skip or warp?
or maybe i need to find something productive to do with my time...

infinity is just a concept or rather a word used to define limits, as for the universe its hard to imagine it being infinite in size, but if it wasnt i'd have to say that it would be kind of like earth, where as the deepest you can go is only half way because the rest of the way you'll be heading back to where you started.
