Yeah! Saw it on tv last night. What I don't get is why the
fuck they killed him (tryin' to take it to an aquarium or
something)...

when humans see something new, their automatic instinct is
to kill it. look at giant squids! stupid humans.

I love when the guy is lying next to it on top of what
appears to be a blue ghost

i watched it at work so was without sound which was probably
a factor, but the close up of the guy facing the shark and
vice versa seemed almost romantic and i had to try hard to
stop myself from laughing

i wasn't expecting it to be that small, but i guess at those
depths size is your enemy.

living fossils, and their petrified counterparts, have
always fascinated me. I often ponder what it would be like
if we could make a "prehistoric park" just like the TV
program. There are certain dinosaurs I would definately want
to see, but even more so than that I would want to see the
ice-age beasts. For example, the paraceratherium is, to
date, the largest land mammal ever discovered. A 6 foot tall
human could stand underneath it and still have a few feet of
headroom between him and this thing's belly. You know it
would be cool to see a ranch of these things.
