penexpers: dont know, i dont think about it.
if every hundred fans equaled 1 live gig i would be better
off (ive played 78 gigs from july2000 onwards). anyone can
play a mp3 on a player, that doesnt mean they really care
about it that much. they might, i dont know. i put all my
albums on last.fm so people can stream them if they want to,
and i try to keep things up-to-date on there.. but .. maybe
if i saw the 10,000+ people on a map, thatd be different
then. i do look at this tho:
map of lackluster.org visitors
but compared to my
gigmap it doesnt translate to much. id love it if i
could hook up like 0.50eur from each and everyone of them.
or a live gig. thatd be lush. but apart from that, i dont
know, it doesnt feel real.

Yeah I assumed that putting all your albums on there would
put you head and shoulders above similar IDM artists like
Esem for example because people are listening to your tracks
on last.fm radio. I really like your music, even though I
used to be sceptical about artists such as yourself.

They're raving about you in Africa, by the way.

does anyone know if there's a way to scrobble things you've
played on your ipod? that'd be pretty cool, i listen to my
ipod a lot more than i do to my computer, and it keeps a
'times played' record for each track so it should be
possible.

Is this just me?...

if you listen to a song and it isnt' scrobbed, you feel like
you haven't "REALLY" listened to it? so you'll listen to it
again....

Or you'll start listening to a song and think... oh god..
.don't scrobb that and skip it even if it's a song you might
normally just leave playing...

I've sorta gone crazy with the whole scrobbing thing

i sometimes have this wrong feeling. I usually check if a
track which just started playing has proper tags and stuff.
that's an addiction.
I'm getting especially angry when some good music i listen
to ees not scrobbled because I don't know track names or
Last.fm doesn't like untitled tracks, as in [The User], for
example.

i thought this was the Last.FM support group....

and yes. I've spent time on Amazon searching for track names
when I know what hte album is, but the tracks are titled
track 1, track 2, track 3, etc...

it's so bad... but so good when your favorite songs are
scrobbing well.

offline vveerrgg from life (Canada) on 2007-03-05 10:38 [#02058383]

i found out that if a song is less then 2:50 mins it prob
won't scrobb....

so that might be an issue too.

no, only if it's less than 1 minute.

that's why i hate those less than 1 minute long BOC tracks,
they can't be scrobbled

The place that I listen to music the most is in my car on my
ipod, and I don't know how to make last.fm pick that up.

I tried that plugin a few dozen post up, and another one
that I found in the last.fm forum or someplace.. and neither
worked.

One almost worked, but ended up getting me locked out of
last.fm for like a day because they thought I was cheating
or something.

offline vveerrgg from life (Canada) on 2007-03-05 10:50 [#02058390]

i'm the same... i've just resolved that where i listen most
to music won't get recorded....

it's a bitter pill to swallow... but it has made me listen
to music more often at work.

The only thing that really bothers me is when I listen to
something that isn't tagged right... or at all. I'm too lazy
to change them manually. I hate listening to classical music
tagged with the performer instead of the composer, it all
gets dispersed.

I listen the majority of my music at home so my charts are
very accurate to my tastes, in the car I mostly listen to
CBC Radio 2 and on my MP3 player I mostly just listen to my
favorite artists anyway, so if that could be scrobbled it
wouldn't make my charts look any different, the top 50 would
just have higher numbers beside them.
