i happen to be taking all of my courses online this semester, one of them being music apprecitation. i know a lot of you are just as passionate about music as i am, if not more so. i wanted to post this link for anyone who might be intrested in learning about the history of something they hold so dear. i'm sure there are some of you who have already taken this course or one similar. you may want to check it out anyway if only to see it perhaps from a different perspective.

History of music is a great subject - I studied it at college, plus extensive private studies. Everyone should be aware.

very cool, ive taken a couple of art history/appreciation classes that would touch down on music as well but not a class devoted to music entirely, thanks!

I remember gaining an appreciation for harpsicord music and writing a review for a concert of my choice. Saw The Statler Brothers play the park next to my house. Counting flowers on the wall, it don't bother me at all...

maybe i need to make clear that it's just a link to the 15, hour long radio broadcasts required for the course. so all you have to do is listen. there's no lectures or essays or things of that nature. at most he will discuss a piece for about a minute or two so on the other end it's at the very least 45 minutes of music. of course that is if you feel like a break from the heartless souless drone of constant digital elctronic music all the time.
