Rock/pop-something-recommendations, please!

Pandora.com, the most delightful of internet-sites has
helped me immensely in my pursuit in finding good music.

Through one of my "radio"-channels I stumbled upon two
particular tracks of which I enjoy very much, one being:

The Apples in Stereo - Innerspace

and

Swell - I don't think so

both having some sort of rock-pop-flavours, without any
singing, though with the common pop-rock elements, i.e.
guitar, drums, and a soft mood, or whatever.

So basically what I'm asking for is, if you've heard
anything that resembles the above mentioned tracks, let me
hear it, and I'll offer you an ice-cream. Deal?

I've tried, but the site plays other stuff, that's not quite
"it", or the style I'm after...

Heck, if anyone knows of anything like Akira Yamaoka's music
(the guy behind the music to the Silent Hill-series),
triphop-guitar-weirdness, recommend some stuff similar to
that too/instead, and I'll name a home-made song in your
honour! ;)

Not my style, they're too easy with the drill n' bass, esp
on their newest song (you know the one on mtv, ztv, dvd-tv,
and tvtv-tv).

Technically a compliation of the first two EPs, both of
which I've got the records of from the time when you simply
bought 12"s and not this thing of making a deal about buying
"lush vinyl" - look I couldn't resist moaning even when I'm
agreeing with you.

for music with a dark and weird Silent Hill-like atmosphere
that's not by Akira Yamaoka, i'd recommend Collusion
by :zoviet*france:. it's weird, creepy, dark, atmospheric,
without being dark ambient. it even has religious references
(the long sample at the beginning, before the music actually
starts) and sometimes some sounds feel like radio channels
from another world. to me at least.

also if you want trip-hop that's a bit dark and
weird, maybe you'd like Ancoats2Zambia by the Baby
Namboos... it's not similar to Silent Hill music, but i like
it very much.
