Early Tangerine Dream is great, and I like some of their
electronic stuff... but frankly, they've made some amount of
bilge. Have you heard the Tyger Tyger ep? Awful.

I do like their stuff until it went shit. I'm not sure if
I'd say they're one of the greatest bands of all time
though. Mind, their live stuff with sequencers and phased
guitars is AWESOME.

As mentioned, TD do have some really neat tracks. But they
just release too much and have completely slipped under the
radar now.

Love TD. My favorite stuff is their mid-80's soundtrack
work.. Risky Business, Firestarter, Flashpoint, Legend..
that sparkly synthy stuff.. but their stuff from the 70's is
incredible in its own right, and arguably more
groundbreaking. The 90's stuff is pleasant but a little too
new agey even for me.

phaedra once sent me to a place i didnt like to be. it
wasn't altogether pleasant but i guess that's testament to
the power of the music!

You dirty boy, first you have sex before marriage, and then
you go on slagging Tangerine Dream!

Yeah, it's a shame how they went downhill. I feel like
crying when I compare the likes of Phaedra or Ziet or
Ricochet with their mid-80s to 90s stuff.

I have a couple of their albums which are pretty cool. I
also want to get their Risky Business soundtrack. There's
some nice music on there! :P

phaedra and rubycon... wow, shame to see what they have
turned into now, did anyone see that clip of them playing
purple haze on youtube?

Yes, those are the albums I have. The track Phaedra is
pretty crazy, and when you consider that it came out in
1975, around the time Kraftwerk were doing their thing, it's
pretty cool. It sounds WAY cooler then Kraftwerk, although I
do love Kraftwerk! :)

Is it just me or is there a section on Rubycon that is
exactly the same as a part of the song Echoes by Pink Floyd?
I've compared dates, and Meddle came out before Rubycon,
which would mean Tangerine Dream ripped them off? That kind
of sucks!
