This looks sweet. Allows direct hard disk recording to your
(new) iPod.

The iPod mixing desk is dumb, But iPod live hard disk
recording isn't IMO.

an iPod HARDDISK setup.... that would be pretty sweet to me.
4 channels in. I use my iPod as a transfer disk for getting
things around. And in a live environment, when you don't
want to setup a laptop to record....

then again.. just getting a digital mixer would be useful
too.. but this has an iPod port... it's hard to resist the
Apple cult/fetish.

i would so use this for doing portable podcast episodes....

I've been wondering how I'd get some of the artists I'd like
to interview in for a session of the podcast... this
definitely solves that problem.

"Why you'd want to record your next indie music hit onto an
easily losable, low-fi handheld with a fragile hard drive
instead of onto a nice Mac or PC computer is a mystery. And
if you do, make sure your iTunes is set for manual synching,
or else it will erase your precious creations whenever you
dock the iPod."

lol

This was taken from the speculative review. Low-fi? 44.1khz
16bit wav sounds fine to me? The solution is cheaper & much
more convenient for a live situation IMO.
Fragile? No more fragile than a laptop.

I for one would love to hook up my 303 & 606 etc in and
record straight to disk without the need to switch my PC on,
launch all the software and shit.
