there are specific word processors for screenplays, I believe.
blow me down, there's a Wikipedia bit called Screenwriting software, I'm sure there'll be a link to please you in there somewhere.
I think Final Draft is the most used.

I downloaded one of those Screenplay word-processors. Impossible to use.

The others are right about using specialist wordprocessors. "Final Draft" is the industry standard one in the UK. They're on version 7 or 8 now. You can get Final Draft on P2P fairly easily.
HTH.

depends on what kinda screen play you're writing. if you wanna follow the industry standard screenplay format, than something like final draft would be what you're after.
if it's something small or alternative, you could just just stick with sticky pads and toilet paper for the time being.

Further to my previous post after checking the details with a friend:
Apparently, Final Draft is the standard for films and using anything else looks a bit amateurish if you're trying to get someone else to make your film. For stuff for TV, it's a bit less set in stone and different companies/organisations all have slightly different house styles/conventions (much like literary publishing houses). The BBC make their prefered format available on their website.
See here.
Wizards teeth - email me if you want any help, I am good friends with a couple of professional script writers and would be happy to pass any questions you have on to them. If your screenwriting is half as funny as your posts/website, it'll be hilarious. Best of luck mate.
