I don't understnad monocles becuase, if they're just
for the one bad eye, but then you have to close the good eye
to keep the monocle in. So, I don't know, people with one
bad eye on a budget, I'd say, forgo the monocle and just
keep the good eye open.

It had to be done.
That man has always scared me. Does anyone remember that
games show where it was just an image of his head floating
about in the background with some crazy shit coming out of
the bottom. That was horrifying.

I saw a two ronnies sketch involving monocles.

a lady drank half a pint of beer, sang half a dirty rugby
drinking song, took half her clothes of... she made a
complete monocle of herself.

- this would sound better with their delivery of the joke
though.

That brings on the urge to watch the entire oeuvre of The
Two Ronnies. I always remember some joke about a man falling
into a vat of molten metal and having his pumper nickled.
