are you the one that goes live with FL? how do you set your stuff up?
2 instances of FL in livemode and crossfade between those?

no serious i haven't really got much into the floops live mode as it wasn't good for the type of playing i do.
but i can tell for sure that opening two instances would be much to weird :|

in fact the live mode has a few, let's say flaws which i don't really like.
one of the biggest is the weird handling of different sized patterns.
this is a thing that i do quite often in live sets that i don't have all melodies the same length but let's say on is just a little bit shorter so the whole track changes constantly. sounds good.

matrigs@wp.pl before you ask :D
you know, i had this time that i had like one thousand new ideas for liveplaying with some uber-huge instalation, ableton and floops rewired or worse. okay it maybe in fact gave me room for different things but everything got very unclear and switching between two applications kinda destroyed the whole live sets, because of repetetive pauses.
maybe if you find a second person with floops you could sync yourselves?
i now stick to ableton only because it has this great feeling that when you look on the main screen, everything is there. no multiple windows that you have to pop up, everything is right there in front of you.
the only thing that i work on right now is kinda connect ableton with reaktor - but reaktor without any interface at all, just code for example for effects, and only connected through midi. no knobs or sliders or switching between the windows.
i guess it depends on what you want to do. there are actually only three things that i like in floops and i would use them live: the granuliser, the drumsynth live and the drumsynth live and the layout of the step sequencer.
in fact you could actually write yourself a much better sequencer in reaktor and launch it on ableton.
