I could be dead right now.

Last Thursday, I packed all my stuff, didn't tell anyone I
was leaving and just promplty left home. I drove alone, from
Omaha NE to Los Angeles CA. 1500+ miles. I got caught in 2
blizzards, almost died because of bad weather conditions,
almost ran out of gas 100 miles from nowhere a few times. I
got to Utah and ran out of money, had to sell my drum set
for gas money. :[ Also that same night, I got arrested in
Utah for being a "runaway" which I was. They kept me a few
hours but had to let me go because I'm 18, not 19. 1 more
year and I would have been fucked. Finally on Saturday
afternoon I got to Torrance, Los Angeles, CA. The only thing
I had to eat on the drive there (2 1/2 days) was a burger
and 3 bottles of water. :[ I stayed with a girl named
Melissa. The best girl I know. My favorite. Period. SO..I am
out of money in LA. I called mom and dad. They were pissed.
Sent me money though because they are worried. This is a
huge life changing trip. I've never prayed in my life before
this, but the trip itself was miserable. I have faith now,
something I never thought could happen. I'm a changed man.
In many ways. I spent two days in sunny California. Then I
headed back. I spent Christmas alone. :[ Well, I was with
Melissa. She's my everything. :] Then I drove more, right
now I'm stranded in Rifle, COLORADO. Car is dead. I'm at a
fancy hotel using the last of my money. Figure I'd end with
a bang! Parents are coming to get me today. I'm not even
beggining to describe this "vacation". It's been hell, it's
been heaven. I'm just throwing what could be a novel into a
few paragraphs right now. Lets just say I've barely eaten
this week. I'm sick, have hardly gotten any sleep since day
one, and yet I'm still the happiest boy alive. Literally
I've had about 12 hours of sleep the entire past week. :[
I'm sick too. But I couldn't be happier. I've seen so much,
so many wonderful things. I even got my first kiss on this
trip. :] Everything is beautiful. I'm just glad it's over.

I feel bad about just leaving without telling anyone. Not
even my friends. My parents were so worried. They listed me
as missing after a few hours. That's how the Utah police
found me. I don't even know. There is so much in my head
right now. -_- I'm just glad I'll be home soon back in my
room. I've spent all my money and everything too. 500
dollars + 250 from my parents. My car is dead in freezing
cold CO. I'm glad I'm in a fancy hotel as we speak. I've got
pictures too, but I need to get home and develop the film.
There's more to come on this story. Bye.

Last Thursday, my dad pissed me off so much. I just left. I
packed my guitar, a weeks worth of clothes, my drum set, and
my camera into my car and drove off. I didn't even tell Mel
I was coming to see her until I was halfway there. I felt
bad about leaving because my siblings and parents had no
idea where I was. I cried a lot on the trip. Like a gay.
Hahaha. :D My grandparents came to our house that night too.
They were torn apart. :[ I felt so bad for my family that I
had let them down. But they are just glad I am safe. Thats a
really long way to drive if you're 18, barely have any
money, and you're sick, and it's bad weather, and you have a
bad car, and you've never really traveled before, let alone
being by yourself.

So weird right now. -_-

19 your perfectly free to drive out your hoyuse whenever the
fuck you want.

No. My parents listed me as a "runaway". So the Utah police
found me when I was resting at 2 AM in a truck stop. He put
cuffs on me and searched me and my car while I was half
asleep. It was so weird. They took me to the jail house and
said I would be arrested and locked up for a week if my
parents had reported my car as stolen too. Thank God they
didn't. They were going to put me in a youth home until my
parents came to get me, but the youth home couldn't take me
because my parents couldn't sign anything. (1000 miles
away.) And Utah law states that if I am under 19, they
cannot take me if my parents can't come get me....for some
reason, or something like that. So basically after a few
hours he gave me my car back, my stuff back and said I was
free to go, but If I was pulled over in another state the
law might not be the same. My parents called the hotline
taht night to report me as not missing though, so I was fine
the rest of the trip.

No. My dad pissed me off so much on Thursday. I had to
leave. It was a bit rash...but I had been needing a vacation
fo quite some time. I won't even begin to talk about my dad
right now. I'm still angry.

My parents understand why I left. They knew I needed a
vacation. In fact, the weeek before I had mentioned it kind
of. The only thing they were angry about is the fact that I
didn't tell ANYONE and just left. I've got about 2500 miles
so far. Maybe more. I am cose to home, but the car died,
so.....they are coming to get me. They are just glad I'm
safe. The driving in the blizzards was so dangerous!

yet so very dangerous, there were crackheads and pornography
and a group of chefs and everything. it lasted 6 days. i
returned, like you, a nonvirgin and a changed person. i
didnt drive though and i didnt do it cos i was in a pissy
mood with mum and dad either.

i broke down a few times between Utah and California. Dude,
That stretch of land hates cars. I totally understand. If it
wasn't for a couple good samaritans I'd be dead too. Long
story. Just stay out of Barstow. Thats a start.

Yeah, so in Nevada you can gas up your car to full and
still run out of gas before you get to the next gas station.
So you have to have a gas can. This also happened to me.

too.

Yeah my car spun twice in the blizzrd. First time I did two
360's and went down into a ditch. Got out okay, oddly
enough. All by myself too. SEcond time some guy pulled me
out at like 3 AM. No one else was around for hours. I think
it was an angel or something. This sounds gay I know. I'm
not religeous at all, but this trip forced a lot of praying
out of me. Now I'm still not Christian or some fag like
that, but I'm a strong believer in God after all this.

Right before Las Vegas gas was 3.88 a gallon! =0 And I don't
have a gas can. Hence the ton of praying I did, and slooow
driving in low gears. Haha.

Saw the Ranch. Drove through the strip at midnight. It was
great! I have so many great pictures on film I'll develop
within the week. The canyons were wonderful, Hermosa beach
in LA was beautiful, the girl was beautiful too. :]
