What a track this is. I'm surprised more people on Xlt
haven't been blown away by the direction techno has taken.

cobblestone jazz is pretty cool. some of mathew jonsons work
is pretty awesome too. marrionette is a track worth checking
out, if you havent.

theres a lot of impressive techno coming out these days but
also a lot of bullshit, like the new villalobos ep (fizheuer
zieheuer). unfortunately alot of the good stuff gets
downplayed because i guess its actually competent and good.
and then the stuff that gets acclaimed is a bunch of
convoluted nonsense that is 'apparently' innovative to
people who think making your techno tracks 15 minutes long
while playing shitty ebowed psych guitar over a horribly
produced techno beat is something other than minimal techno
+ bad ideas executed horribly.

on a good note though, i have to suggest geoff white's
latest album (which was actually made back in 02-03). its
wonderfully produced.

Yes, Cobblestone Jazz is quite nice. I have an album without
titles, i think its fortcoming... Anyway Mathew Jonson's -
Return of the zombie bikers a great track!

Its OK. I prefer Jonsons solo work though. He is a total
audio geek though, as confirmed when watching his
demonstration at the Red Bull Academy. But hey, nothing
wrong with that if the output is decent!

"Folding Space" is my favourite - its on the flipside from
the "Behind The Mirror" 12".

it's a decent enough track, but i have to admit that i like
him best when he goes for the trancy arpeggio jams, like
marionette and freedom engine 01
